Founder and co-owner of Vaiani & Clarke salon, Gia Clarke has over a decade of experience in hair and makeup, making a name for herself as a master stylist in precision cutting. Top notch training with some of the nation’s best programs combined with rich experience with her extensive portfolio of loyal clients have enabled Gia to earn a reputation as one of the best in the business in the Boston area. In 2013, Gia made her dream of owning her own salon and is proud of what the she and the team have built for their customers, themselves, and their families.

Gia first realized her passion for fashion when she first began her career in retail management and customer service relations. At that point, she decided to pursue her career in hair and makeup by attending Blaine Hair Academy where she received high honors at graduation. Following her formal education, she worked closely with Anh Tran and Nick Arrojo and attended classes at Vidal Sasoon Academy. She also gained advanced makeup and eyebrow techniques through her studies with world-renowned makeup artist David Nicholas.

Beyond being a Master Stylist, Gia creates complete makeover experiences for her clients. Her full portfolio of services includes:

Founder and co-owner of the salon, Nicole has over a decade of rich experience with hundreds of clients of all ages, ethnicities and hair types. While she offers a comprehensive portfolio of services, Nicole is most noted for her extraordinary skills and artistry in color. As part of building her career, Nicole has mastered the tricky science of color that requires a keen eye for what works best on each individual client combined with a deep understanding of chemistry and the myriad of variables that accompany the process. After working in Boston’s leading salons since 2002, Nicole is proud to call herself Master Colorist. 

Nicole is a Goldwell Certified Colorist who specializes in the following:

Nicole’s training started early when she was still in high school and has been ongoing and substantial throughout her career. Beyond investing over seven years ago at the Soho Academy in New York to achieve one of her many Balayage certifications,Nicole has  trained with Salt Academy by Pretty Little Ombre. She was also privileged to have trained with some of the most renowned celebrity colorists in the US, including Johnny Ramirez, Beth Minardi, Nick Arrojo, George Papanikolas, and Nancy Braun. 

Beyond her work with clients, Nicole aims to empower and inspire other women entering the profession by mentoring them based on her precise techniques and life experience. With the continuous education she gains, Nicole is able to bring new, celebrity techniques to the salon to ensure she is always on trend. In the future, she plans to take her education to an international level.

Like many of our stylists, Armela discovered her love for styling hair at an early age. After attending and graduating from hair school in Europe, she brought her passion and expertise to the United States in 2000.

Shortly after moving to the Boston area, she attended Bojack Academy where she become a licensed cosmetologist in 2012. Armela then continued her education by attending shows and in salon classes to keep her up to date on the latest styles, trends, and techniques. Armela specializes in:

Rose is an amazing veteran with over 28 years of experience gained through time in Chicago, Miami, NYC and Atlanta before returning to Boston 18 years ago. A Goldwell Certified stylist who specializes in both coloring and cuts, Rose’s clients benefit from her time in some of the most cosmopolitan and fashion-forward cities. 

Meanwhile, her training is extensive, powered by Bumble and Bumble, Arrojo Razoring NYC, Balayage by Sunlights Balylama, Eva Scivo NYC, and finally Toni & Guy. Her specialization includes:

-      Highlighting

Rose’s expertise includes all of today’s innovative haircuts, hair colors, and styles for both men and women. 

Katie Bouchard is an experience stylist who has been spent 10 years achieving great looks for a diverse portfolio of clients. Beyond her core training with the Paul Mitchell School for cosmetology, she also attended the Advanced Toni and Guy Academy and the Bumble&Bumble Institute in New York. To advance her skills as a colorist, Katie also attended the New York Goldwell Academy and specializes in Goldwell color.

What Katie loves most is partnering with customers to achieve everything they need to create their best look and uncover their best selves, from creative brainstorming to color and cutting to blow dry and styling. She truly enjoys the opportunity to engage with her customers to provide them a complete, personalized experience.

For the past 13 years, Thanh has been a hair stylist and remains as passionate about his craft as he did at the beginning of his career. He believes that each year has been better than the last and continues to have new experiences and learn new techniques. His education first began at Toni & Guy and he has continued his training throughout the years. He most enjoys working with hair in its natural texture--achieving a wash and wear style--believing it’s very important and entirely possible to be happy with the natural hair that you have. 

Beyond his expertise as a stylist, Thanh considers his biggest accomplishment to be when he became a dad.

Lourdes found she had a passion for hair at a young age, attending a post graduate program at Minuteman to receive her cosmetology license immediately after high school. With Vaiani & Clarke Salon since 2014, Lourdes has worked diligently to build out a complete skill set, with a particular focus on:

 -      Highlights and Balayage as a Certified Goldwell Colorist 

-     Smoothing treatments, including Brazilian Blowout, Keratin and Kerasilk

 With her fresh young eyes, Lourdes has a great, new vision for color placement. In addition, Lourdes often provides overall beauty consultations to clients to achieve a great look that complements who they are and what they want to accomplish.
